I want to keep everything in context of what a vastly improved season this has been. That said, this game was pretty tough to watch (naturally, we were on TV). [Emoticons not coming up for roll eyes] The defensive strategy obviously failed by a ways, or was just poorly executed. Too many open looks, esp. for 3, and by the wrong people (Buss, Cahill). Purdue did win at MD, so you never know. IU has won 7 in a row for a reason, of course. Road streak was due to end I suppose. Keep fighting ladies! Your turn for senior night this Thursday. Let's support them however we can. GBR!!

PSU now becomes a huge game if we want a top 4 seed.

I'm doing my part by watching the UNO Mavs play North Dakota. The Fighting Hawks lead 2-0 at the first intermission...not sure how that impacts our RPI.

What the heck are you talking about? It's ok to admit that they have a good program. They were impressively able to get out of the MVC and into the Big East. And then you're jumping all over the guy who's running the HHCC contest. This last month on here is going to put everyone on edge. Everyone try to keep their chill, ok?

I agree with mwn89. This was not our best defensive effort. We just didn't have an answer for Buss today. I think some of our early fouls threw off our substitution patterns a little bit. It was also an early start...11am. It's different getting up in the morning and heading to the venue. Our other road games have been in the afternoon/evening. It gives the team a little more time to review game plan and get ready to play. We are still a young team and will learn to adjust. Regardless of wins or losses at this point, I am so proud of this team. They have fun together and it shows. Coach Amy has done an incredible job building this Family.

It seems like every year that a team winning in the First Four goes on to win 1-2 more games. That'd be all right, too.

I’m just thankful that the seasons ending a week earlier than usual. My lord I don’t think I could do it another week. On the flip side, I hope we do enough to end the season that I don’t have to freak out conference tournament season.

I understand that watching bubble teams you should see more wins than losses, that's just how it works, but watching every frikin bubble team pick up big wins every frikin night is getting real old real fast. Today has been awful.

gotta get by ilinois first. i'm firmly in one step at a time mode, and I hope the team is right there with me (and vice versa). this finish is not remotely easy, and I think e'd be foolish to think we couldn't trip up against any one of these teams.

I agree it’d feel slightly inauthentic, but is an 11 vs 11 game all that much different than an 8 vs 9 game? It’d count in the record books and I’d count it in my book as well. And if we lose the 6 vs 11 game? I guess we’d just have a new goal for next year: reach the round of 32.

We may have different definitions of "respect" and "bragging". We can certainly disagree on that. I can give credit where credit is due when teams like Wisconsin, Wichita State, and Rhode Island had built some strong programs from the bottom up and have found some great success, but it doesn't mean I have to like him. What kind of world has this come to where people just throw out accusations without doing their research and take no responsibility for it? Down votes are for that reason in-and-of-itself. It's just one site's opinion, but Bart Torvik shows St. Bonaventure as having an 85% chance to make the tourney if they win this game and only 41% if they lose. This is a huge game.

The KU game was a big game, and the crowd was hyped. The atmosphere was great. I am not big in comparing it to any other game, but I liked the outcome of the no-sit Wisconsin game much more. When that game was over the atmosphere was like a fog, it lingered over the arena, the haymarket and surrounding space for quite some time.

I would say, yes, the play in game counts. And no, I don't think we need to win out in the regular season if we win 2 or more in the B10 tourney. But I think the speculation that we do have to win them all helps to keep the team from the mental let down which inevitably accompanies a team which realizes it will be in the NCAA tourney however it may finish the regular season.

Buss and Cahill both need to be shutdown a bit.
