My interest in college athletics would sharply decrease if this were too happen. Im all for allowing immediate eligibility if the the coach you committed to leaves or is fired. But this seems to be too much.4 points

Step by step we are improving in most areas especially on defense. We are hitting one milestone after another. This basically happens when you have a good coaching staff and all the players are dedicated. A win in the previous game against Michigan would have put us in a 4 way tie for first in the conference. Who knows where we will end up. They are certainly fun to watch. All this from a very young team. Still no love from Jeff Sagarin in his ratings. 69th with Indiana and their losing record 68. Go figure.4 points

Absolutely......pathetic free throw shooting. We could have won it by 20. We will not win close games, against better teams, with horrible percentages from the foul line. Maybe we were a bit tired after just playing Mich. We kind of looked tired toward the end of that game too. But Iowa didn't look like a ball of fire either. I understand they were missing a couple of guards due to injury...must have been their 3 shooters, because if they can't shoot 3 any better, they will lose a number of games from here on out. Was not impressed with them.... tonight anyway. Without Gustaphon...they not very good. Maybe they rely on her too much...that can effect how the rest of the team plays. We just were the better team tonight...and the final score could have been an even bigger spread. We took care of the ball pretty well....not many turnovers. Maddie kind of quietly scored well, and had a great game overall. As has been said....she's having a super year. Nicea did her usual outstanding job with her defense and overall play. She's learned to play tight defense and not foul so much. Hats off to her for her play this year. Taylor played more tonight, must be getting back to normal. She had a good floor game, rebounded, handled the ball well. We had a lot of steals, not usually a big part of our game. Real good game ladies....rest a little and go at it again. Your growing up fast. You all notice....the seasons over half over !3 points

The free throw shooting is ridiculous. They will continue to work on them for sure, but I wouldn't expect any real improvement this year. Hope it gets better, more than I think, but something that has to get rectified in the offseason. That said, sure am happy with the W.3 points -

Answered my own question With Wagner in the game everyone is camping around the 3pt line moving the ball around. Often it ends with Kentucky transfer Charles Matthews and Wagner initiating a pick and roll. Sometimes Wagner is setting picks in the middle but not often and not well. With Teske you'll see him operating in the paint. He's waiting for the ball to get rotated and he's going to start setting picks, waiting for an opportunity to roll. With Wagner and Matthews to me it's about which two guys are the best at defending the pick and roll. I think we could use a mix of Taylor-GIll and Roby-Copeland.2 points

Wasn't there, didn't see or hear anything of course....but...(there's always a but) Not because Doyle left Nebraska, or any hard feelings towards her at all, and she a good player. I'm sure she wanted to impress the crowd. But she wasn't all that impressive tonight, does a good job, but does seem a bit of a hot head at times. I'm going to watch the replay and see what can be seen.2 points -

Passing of the best guard I ever saw play at KU. He was a freshman when they could not play on the varsity and the first time I saw him was watching his freshman team whip the varsity team. I still think he didn't step out of bounds on a shot that he made at the end of KU's overtime loss to Texas El Paso in the NCAA regionals. There were no replays then or that great movie about the Miners would have never been made. He also was a great player for the Celtics. RIP to a Jayhawk legend.2 points -
Great win. Free throws obviously a huge problem. Can't hold it back any longer: Really hard to listen to Griesch. Might be the worst color commentator in college basketball. Virtually unlistenable. Matt is usually so patient with him. Tonight he couldn't take it any longer and didn't put up with it, all the while Griesch was making a fool out of himself.2 points

The other guy's argument is ridiculous. If you make 4 or 5 of those missed FTs, the game is over 10 minutes ago. The other team's inability to score, especially 3's, has no bearing on complete incompetence at the FT line.2 points -

Huge Huge week to boost the resume. After getting Michigan at home, we get OSU on the road. 1-1 is really good, absolutely have to get one. 2-0... now that'd be a hell of a week. This is two top 25 games and two quadrant 1 games. Just an FYI.1 point -

I have no inside info, but hopefully Nana will realize that both Taylor and Gill (combined 50ish minutes a game) are seniors, therefore will be gone after this season. He possess a similiar size as Taylor and allegedly is a good 3pt shooter, like Gill. Seems that with a good offseason he could slide into one of their roles.1 point

Future NBA players (with the possible exception of those over 7 feet tall) do not sit the bench or redshirt. If he was a potential NBA guy, he would be playing. Our coaches may not be coach of the year candidates, but they know enough to play the pros.1 point

Shavon had a great career at Nebraska, but seriously Roby is on another level in athletic ability. Points? Why is it all about points? Roby can do everything as a sophomore, but his game isn't polished yet. I don't remember ever seeing Shields crotch in someone's face when attempting a dunk either? Roby has the intangibles... Shields did not. If you can't see it you aren't looking very hard!1 point -

The main thing I would like to see Roby improve on is the turnovers. He will keep growing into his body and keep getting more confident. He’s the best Nebrasketball NBA prospect in a while. if that ever translates I’ve is another question down the road, because his ceiling is so high.1 point -

Maybe I'm in the minority, but I don't think Palmer played all that well. Yes he scored a lot of points, but most of those came on plays where a teammate made a great play to set him up. When he was asked to make a play, bad things happened...other than the one glorious exception with 0.3 seconds left. Copeland played like a guy trying to not pick up any fouls on rebounds. Just didn't hit the boards with any conviction. I started focusing on him anytime a shot went up, and it was almost embarrassing seeing how little effort he put in boxing out. Roby stuffed the stat sheet and did so many extra little things that don't make it into the box score. Take for example Palmer's dunk in the first half (the one where he curled around the right corner, took three long strides, and flushed it). That dunk ONLY happens because Roby sealed off his defender from helping like an absolute monster. Great seal. Otherwise, it is likely a blocked shot. This IMO is the best all-around game by a Husker this season. Evan was solid coming off the bench, but Gill was clearly off in his first start. I'm a little curious who the starters will be against the skunkbears.1 point

Glad he is coming back... but won't lie to you - am a bit peeved, as I feel it cost us the PSU game, and that could have us in the NIT instead of the NCAA. Either way, welcome back... hope its for the longhaul and not just until the summer.1 point
