Very impressive toughness in the last quarter. We took over the game in the second half, and Minn saw it...they got desperate, and folded. WE MADE OUR FREE THROWS TO WIN IT! The refs tried to "homer" a game for Minn......in lots of ways, but we overcame. Maddie had her best game. She's really come in to her own. Excellent. Lots of other good stuff....but just a great win...... that is beginning to get us over the hump. ...

Excellent win. Maddie came up big today with 18 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals. Not a lot of teams are going to go into that venue and come away with a win.

Super-impressive win. Love how a prior weakness--free throw shooting--was a strength in the 4th when it mattered. Sounds like we overcame some calls as well. Great resilience down the stretch.

Going out on a limb if we keep playing like these last 2 games we are building ourselves a ncaa tournament resume!!! And no one would of seen that happening!!!

I sat next to Papa Gordon tonight, and we both agree that it's the damn hippity-hop music that distracts the boys during warmups, throwing them off for the rest of the night. Oh, and the tattoos. Always the tattoos.

Just needs a little reboot...

Proud of Tanner making use of that scholarship. As for him getting Jordy or Duby's minutes in B1G play, no. It's important to remember how much those guys alter shots inside with their size (Jordy) and athleticism (Duby). That said, Tanner is plugging away and showing progress. I'm not as pessimistic about his ceiling as some. He was a D1 scholarship athlete before he was a basketball player, so I don't think that should be taken lightly.

Bugs, it looked like we wore Minn out to some extent today. They didn't have much spunk late in the game. It did seem to have some affect. We play at a pretty good pace and with our subbing a lot...you better have some gas in the tank to keep up. A huge stat in the box score..our team shot 50% ...best of the year and look what happened. Love it !!

imagine the vikings home game had somewhat to do with their attendance. minny usually does a pretty good job with supporting gopher basketball (though, not at husker levels)

And Look at that Attendance; only 3,284. (Husker Ladies had 4,383 vs Ohio State; 4,404 vs Wash St; and 3,635 vs Florida Atlantic, all @ PBA) It will be a Happy Flight Home Tonight For New Year's Eve! Yes, our defense has been coming on for the last several games. Today our offense complimented the effort of our defense., and we had our most complete game of the year. We beat a pretty good team.

Very nice win. We All need to get behind this team and coaches. Building to the future!

In addition to our clutch shooting, our defense was great; held them to 13 pts. below their average.

I really think that Minny thought that they could bury the Huskers in 1st quater with all of those bombs that they hit. But the Huskers hit some bombs of thier own. Hung tough and got a win on the road to break Minny 7 game home win streak.

No. Tanner worked hard and had a good game but I don’t think it’s fair to him to have too high of expectations. He is who he is and should be appreciated for what he is. He quite possibly wouldn’t be the best post player on the team if he played for Stetson. When he got minutes in our games against power 5 schools he wasn’t able to finish at all and was not able to guard anyone. The Stetson post shot over him consistently. If nothing else, Duby is a real force defensively at the rim.

Ain't going to lie as don't think we win this game with Tanner tonight. Well done kid!!!

Idk how anyone else felt, but following this game I was never worried about losing. It was a refreshing feeling from years past when we always seemed to have that "Here we go again..." non con game.

I am not convinced the warm ups had much (if) anything to do with how we were not attempting to penetrate the zone, or that we were not hitting an isolated big man under the basket or missing free throws, or missing open looks. This topic was breached in another topic earlier this week. We have three stages of warm ups. The one the fans see as they filter to their seats, is the last of the three, and it is simply leveraged to stay loose. I would not put any stock in how the team looks or acts in that time snippet.

For those not here (can't blame you), this game is one where the lid on the basket was sealed with gorilla glue, and we found a way to win (?) Due to the incredible play of a scrappy bench player (borchardt)

They're probably just clearing space for someone even better.
