Next Years Starting 5

Here's a couple earlier Taylor vs. Palmer matchups from four years ago. Unfortunately they didn't directly guard each other much. Evan Taylor is # 10 for Paul VI and James Palmer is #12 for St. John's.2 points -

I prefer this one: You’ll never hear someone say they overuse semicolons. —Grant Faulkner1 point

Oh man. Threw out my back yesterday, and was therefore heavily medicated and asleep most of the day. Now that I'm awake and perusing the interwebs again, I see this gem of news. Fantastic! Remind me again, what city will be attending the Final Four in this year?1 point

You know, I learned recently that Kurt Vonnegut did not like semicolons. Like, he really didn't like them. Here is a lesson in creative writing. First rule: Do not use semicolons. They are transvestite hermaphrodites representing absolutely nothing. All they do is show you've been to college. -Kurt Vonnegut, A Man without a Country I get the feeling he would not get along well on HHC.1 point

You got Gill in the two-deep? I don't. I'm basing that on injury though. I saw enough from him to believe he'd become more consistent.1 point -

He may have been referring to the fact that Nebraska rarely ever seems to come out on the good side of such decisions/breaks. At least that's how I interpreted the "beat the odds" comment. I could very well be way off with this. Props for the semicolon, though; you're always spot on with those!1 point -

Well, first of all, props to DOATHLON for coming here and taking his medicine like a man. It's one thing to voice an opinion that eventually proves incorrect; it's another thing entirely to trash talk the other guy repeatedly only to be proven dramatically and majestically wrong. He knew he had some licks to take, and he didn't go and hide from it. So, props to DOATHLON for that. Now, as to the "you know you just beat the odds" comment, I don't want to belabor the point, but that's not correct. You said Copeland wouldn't be eligible until the beginning of the 2nd semester, would miss ALL of the non conference, and would miss 4 conference games. I said that, at worst, he would miss 11 games and would be eligible in time for the KU game on December 16. I was correct on that point regardless of what happened with the appeal. And it was correct back in April back when this discussion first began.1 point -

i'm guessing palmer because i think we'll need allen as a backup point guard, and i think taylor/roby in the same starting lineup would not bode well for our 3 point shooting.1 point -

Don't get ahead of ourselves, now. Creighton will probably be ranked to start the year. Wouldn't be surprised if they're picked to win the Big East. I'm just hoping we can give them a game. Get it back to single digits some point in the second half. Let's see how the first 5 or so games go before we start hoping to compete with them. Remember, they'll be at home.1 point -

Agree, and I think it gets better big picture. Glynn/Taylor Allen/Palmer (slight correction, IMO, but I can't see a shooter that good not starting) Roby/Nana Copeland/McVeigh Jordy/Okeke/Borchardt Wow. Copeland makes it all make sense. That is a terrifying starting 5, and a super deep bench (I think there'd be practices where that bench beats the starters). We're at least 10ppg better than last season, and that's a conservative estimate. Let em loose, TM and co. This is tournament talent.1 point -
