  2. If we can put Miles' face on a penny, we ought to be able to put Copeland's face on a watch. Just for this thread.

    How Good Is Tai Webster??

Tai had a great year but it had a lot to do with increased usage than it did with improved performance (with the exception of him increasing his assist rate) He impressively took approximately 47% of all his shots his senior year. His non-conference and conference splits aren't that different thought his conference numbers weren't as good. Maybe veganism was the culprit. Maybe it was all the minutes. Maybe teams had him scouted by then. The biggest things to replace from his will be his ability to get to the line and his defense. His shooting and decision-making, especially in crunch time, will be quite replaceable.

  4. Oh, OK! Chris Paul just left the Clippers for the Rockets, by the way. Which is an interesting move. Joining James Harden in the backcourt in Houston could make them pretty potent. Maybe challenge for 2nd in the West.

    Who Starts?

I was just guessing that MAYBE Handy was talking about Gill when he said Turner and just got confused about Gil's first name. Because who wouldn't? I mean, you're only talking about the 2nd best QB in Husker football history.

  9. Thought DePaul would offer the best combo of NBA exposure and being home. Maybe they pulled away from him.

For those hoping beyond hope we can ditch Miles and replace him with Hoiberg at the end of the year: In summary, if coaching in the NBA doesn't work out for Fred it's very likely that coaching won't be in his future, period.

  13. Very funny seeing Lee mention Tai Webster's switch to a vegan diet mid-season. I had noticed Tai looking gassed later in games starting about the beginning of January. It stood out to me. I remember times he would walk up the floor when he wasn't handling the ball. Thought that was very unusual for Tai. Then, someone told me he'd switched to a vegan diet and it was like a lightbulb went off. Well, no wonder he isn't showing the fire he had before. Wonder if Tai's "father in law" had anything to say about that.

  15. Gotta think the full sked will drop soon. Also, this is an interesting nugget, especially with the concerns about the Big Ten moving up the conference tournament by a week. https://www.si.com/college-basketball/2017/07/07/schedule-early-season-opening-change also this:

Yep, Dortmund has sweet kits for sure. Normally Yellow and Black kinda makes me puke (Colorado, Iowa) but Dortmund looks nice.

  24. Nice transformation. Amazing what hard work can accomplish, I repeat what I have said so often, this kid is going to be special. If he continues with his self-improvement, we have an all-American on our hands.

    The Isaac Copeland watch

Yeah, if we had a better coach it would have been taken care of already. Miles totally dropped the ball here huh? I wonder why he isn't even trying to get Cope's eligibility restored??? So frustrating!
