    Wow.  Big flipping win.  Wow.

    Walter...big game.

    Terran...big game.

David Rivers...you are back my man, nice game

    Shavon...good game.

Hey it takes a team to win.  I am not about to pick on anyone post game.  Some players struggled a bit, but they were picked up by others...

I thought Leslee was more active today also.  Took a key charge which forced them to sit Payne in the first half.  And made a HUGE steal in the second half which led to a layup.  Nice work, Leslee.

And Rivers' line was sweet.  He had 20% of our assists, with no turnovers.

Unreal win today...what a day. Been a long 20 +years for me as a true follower of nu hoops. Today was emotional and awesome. No letdown now and lets keep this going.

Started from the bottom now were here!

Where did you find that???  That is priceless...  Izzo had the nerve in his post-game presser to call out NU for making 4 "circus shots" by Pitch & Pett.  He did give props to NU for toughness as "junkyard dawgs" like his previous teams.

He ripped the officials too which was funny. Fouls were 7-0 and 10-2 and that non over the back may have been the worst call of the year. He also talked about their injuries which is fine but implied if Dawson played then pitchford wouldn't have hit his 3s.

I'll bet he does feel that way, as we did score a few really tough shots late in the shot clock - then again Miles said Petteway is 57% in the last 5 seconds of the shot clock and Pitchford is 45%, so it's not like they haven't done some similar things in the past.

He also probably has conveniently forgotten the missed over and back call that led to a MSU 3 in the first half and the fact that MSU was in the bonus in the second half before they ever committed a foul, so it's not like NU received every break in the game.

He did give NU credit for playing harder than MSU at least. Bottom line is the game was in doubt at the 4 min mark, and NU went out and won it ... and he knows it.

Yeah, the notion that the other team "got lucky" on shots is condescending, at best.  Nebrasketball defense is the difference in making sure Mich St had ZERO points in transition, not that the Spartans didn't run!! NU didn't let MSU run, period. End of story.

Must not have done a very good job of scouting film then. Petteway's been hitting those shots all year.

They're not circus shots if you consistently make them. They refer to that as talent. ;)

We came, we saw and we conquered your team Tom. Deal with it. TP has hit shots like that all year.

Lets be real if ray was any sort of on today from three land would it have even been as close as it was?

No doubt, Petteway's 2 triples late in the ballgame will now be referred to as "daggers" to Izzo's heart!!  <_<

    WWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Of course this was the game I had to miss...what are ya gonna do...

    - I got to the second media time out of the first half before I had to leave, we were up 13-6. Listened to the next media time out in the car, it was 15-15, I think, then I was in the dark for the next three hours. I left my phone at home so I wouldn't have it spoiled. Took all sorts of twitter flack for it, deservedly so. But I was on the edge of my seat the whole time, even being three hours behind. Holy crap, that was awesome!

    - Pitchford was Petteway's dancing partner tonight. It almost seems like it's Petteway and someone else. If we ever get Petteway plus Pitchford plus Shields all on the same night or maybe someone else has a big game, that's going to be a fun night.

    - The color commentator said it right, the six early points from Rivers were bonus points and might have been the difference in the game. He's been a man possessed of late, really fun to see.

    - Not sure what Shields final line was, he struggled a bit, but hit a couple big shots in the second half.

    - Miles has taken some flack for his in game coaching at times this season, but this was one of the better games, IMO by him and the coaching staff in their two years here.

    - This is Terran Petteway:

    - I want to watch a replay of the game with the radio call and an iso cam of Kent and Matt in the corner.

    - The conversation has now changed. The bubble talk is now legit and reasonable. The team needs to take advantage of what is in front of them and put the hammer down on Penn St. and Purdue this week.

    - This is pretty much how I feel tonight.

I believe Coach Miles mentioned in his post-game show, that Petteway was shooting 57% from 3-point land in the final 5 minutes of a game.  At what point does Izzo and the other coaches stop thinking he is lucky, and cross-over to the conclusion that the young man is clutch?

“They did everything we scouted,” said Michigan State sophomore Gary Harris, who had 18 points on 5-for-15 shooting (1 for 7 from 3-point land). “They did the stuff you can’t scout. They played with energy, they played with toughness. They were relentless all night, and once they got going early it’s kind of hard to stop a team when they have confidence early in the game.”

“With any shooter, if they see their first couple of shots fall they’re going to feel good about themselves, and pretty much have a big night,” said Appling, who had two points and three rebounds in his return. “We weren’t able to prevent that from happening because we gave a shooter an open look the first possession of the game, and that’s pretty much what got them going. And from there, they took off.”
