I'm just thinking of a list of people I want to tell to just STFU and never offer another opinion about Nebraska basketball ever again.

And if I ever hear anyone make another snarky remark about our head coach tweeting at halftime, I'm likely to punch them in the mouth.

    Just sayin.

I'm not one who has posted much though I've lurked consistently the entire Miles Era and a bit before. I did announce my Miles skepticism for the first time after the Gardner-Webb debacle but I'd say he's done enough to put me all the way back in his corner.

I hope you don't punch me Norm, in case we should meet someday.

I think it's a mixed bag schedule. Tough teams but good timing to play two of the best on the road while the students are gone.

Maybe I'm getting ahead of myself a bit, but does 11-7 in the conference get us dancing with this schedule and two great road wins?

You're not ahead of yourself... at least in my opinion.

Rpi would be around 40-45.  Probably need a b1g tourney win.

3-4 on the road (we play iowa and rutgers... it is doable) and 6-3 at home would do it

A blessing in disguise I've noticed:

During our 3pt shooting woe games, we learned to manufacture points going to the rim.  Now, that drive-and-crash-the-boards mentality has become our identity.  This comes in handy when games are tight because layups/putbacks are low-pressure shots and extremely difficult to defend when we have pesky players like Morrow and Jacobson flying in all game.  You could see that today when Maryland tightened up and lanky white driveway kid went scoreless in the last 5 minutes because those shots started mattering a lot more.

So, going along with that offensive identity, Tai and Glynn are now settling in and shooting 35%/38% from 3.

    It's a lovely development.

FTFY ;), and THIS right here illustrates perfectly how HUGE these two wins to start conference play are.

get 2 home wins vs an average iowa/northwestern teams, and we are realistically on the bubble. hard to believe that.

Iowa may be somewhat average this year (depending how Jok plays) but Northwestern is not what I would call just an average team.  They're good, and we need to bring our A game for them next Sunday.

they're best wins are texas, dayton, and penn st. they're record is good, but i wouldn't say they are proven to be real good at this point.

Vegas certainly respects Northwestern, and therefore so do I.  More athletic than one is accustomed to seeing a NW team be, and they can still shoot the ball well.

It's too bad he has already punched his ticket. Can a ticket be punched more than once? Or can someone have multiple tickets to be punched? Because I think Coach Miles might have punched a ticket today.

You can always unpunch a ticket by taping the Chad back in place.

Or maybe miles was already a hanging Chad

Not sure a new thread needs creating for this, but does anyone know game time of NW game Sunday, or at least possible times it could be?  Thanks in advance.

I assume it'll be announced tomorrow - they announced the MD game time 6 days ahead.

Looks like available time slots are 1:15 or 3:30. OSU-Minny has the night time slot.

I have never picked a score where Nebraska was on the losing end... I did it against Indiana... So I did it again against Maryland.  I just don't know if I can do it for Iowa guys I hate them too much

And while you're at it, Norm, tell them to take off that ridiculous blue sweater vest and visor combo. Ugly.

Iowa will come in with a bit of confidence, just rallied past Michigan in OT.

Boy Iowa played a lot of 2-3 zone vs UM - thought that would be the death of them, but it worked. Guessing we'll see just a wee bit of zone Thursday. <_< Hopefully MJ & Roby play well in the high post.

Is it just me or was the time/date an advantage for Maryland? I think most would have agreed with that statement with 5 minutes to go in the game.
