    OFFENSE:

    F

    44-40.

Oh, if only I were talking about the score of this game.

Unfortunately, the first number represents the amount of rebounds Ohio State had for the game and the second, well... the amount of points the powerhouse offense that is Nebraska poured into the hoops of Columbus. What a jugular, baseline to baseline offense we are blessed with.

Once again, Nebraska had zero post presence, zero ability to get to the rim on any sort of consistent basis and no chance at getting to the free throw line.

Nebraska shot just six free throws, 30% from the field and 2-18 (or 11%) from downtown. Yes, 2-18. Really.

Bo Spencer continues to be a non-factor in Big 10 play, as the senior shot just 5-15 for 10 points.

Our Player of the Game, Brandon Richardson, finished with 10 points but a career high seven steals. His effort is appreciated, as he is leaving it all on the court.

One more thing. What does Christopher Niemann provide? Seriously. We are using a scholarship on him? He can't score. He can't avoid turnovers. He cant box out. He can't play defense. He can't set a pick without creating an offensive foul.

And when will one of our freshman named Rivers or Moore EVER come even remotely close to the rim when they shoot a perimeter shot? Will it ever happen? These are the best we can get, in year six? Yet, we ran off productive players like Jay-R Strowbridge earlier in the tenure?

Last, the one other good thing tonight besides B-Rich was the move Corey Hilliard showed in going hard to the hoop. Nice move.

Yes, its that pathetic. That was the highlight of my night.

    DEFENSE:

    F

So Ohio State, what should would you like?

Would you like to enter the ball deep, deep into the post, while we get as close to you as a hot chick on a date with a fat guy she mistakenly agreed to go on a blind date with?

Would you like the wide open mid range jumper?

Would you like the wide open three?

Or would you like us to foul you?

54% from the field, including 68% in the first half. And had OSU kept its starters in past the 9 minute mark of the second half, they would have easily surpassed 80 points and 58% shooting.

    Fantastic.

    REBOUNDING:

    F

Nebraska snatched a season low 21 rebounds, including a powerhouse number of six on the offensive glass. That is six offensive rebounds out of thirty six missed shots.

    Next.

    BALL HANDLING:

    F

Nebraska had nine turnovers in the first eleven minutes of this game. Nice way to take a sure loss and make it a sure embarassment.

For the game, NU finished with 17. Not going to get it done.

    COACHING:

    F

I literally have nothing good to say about Doc tonight. Not one thing.

The only thing I'll comment on is something I've been saying since the end of last year, when people blasted me.

This team (and last years) DOES NOT HAVE GOOD TALENT. We were the worst in the Big 12 last year. Sitting courtside at the Big 12 Tournament and watching all the games showed me that. I posted that very comment after the OSU loss in the first round.

Andre Almeida was hyped by many, including our head coach, as a guy who'd play in the NBA when he got here. When I watched him up close several times last year, he looked no better than a big man you'd say at Quinnipiac. That is not an exagerration. That is the truth. He is not good. Having him would not make much of a difference.

Dylan Talley obviously has much more than a "bruise," Doc. You said today he would be battling it his "entire 1.5 years here." It's not a bruise. A bruise heals. So why don't we be honest here and say what's wrong with him? And why can't you recruit a single player without chronic injuries?

See Niemann, Christopher; Diaz, Jorge Brian; Talley, Dylan; McCray, Toney; Almeida, Andre, etc, etc, etc.

I'll continue to say it - Jorge Brian Diaz not playing will cost this team three wins this year.

However, going from three conference wins to six conference wins in your 6th season is NOT ACCEPTABLE. Neither is having a recruiting class that rivals that of Southern Utah for 2012-2013.

Every team is going to have injuries. Almeida is not good. That is not a big loss. Talley, the jury is out. If he's chronically injured, it doesn't really matter how good he is or isn't. Diaz, yes, is a loss. But again, that's the only real "player" Nebraska has that they're lacking. And there are many, many teams in the country who have a key player injured.

No excuses for injuries. I don't want to hear about it. You still have ten scholarship players in your 6th season.

    OVERALL GRADE:

    F

Truly pathetic. And that goes from on top down to Doc.

PLAYER OF THE GAME: Brandon Richardson

    SEASON TOTALS:

    Bo Spencer - 4

    Toney McCray - 4

    Brandon Richardson - 3

    Jorge Brian Diaz - 2

    Brandon Ubel - 1
