    Nickname: Fighting Illini

Fun Fact : Due to cramming the women's tourney into this weekend instead of next, Thursday games are pushed to Wednesday making this a 9pm game.

    The Skinny

This is senior night for a NCAA bubble Illini team that can't afford another sub-100 RPI loss. Despite the 9pm start expect a highly motivated crowd and team. It's possible that Illinois comes out tight but odds are we see at least a competent shooting Illini team. If they're hitting from 3 this game will get ugly.

After completely shutting down Illinois in January the Huskers have gone 3-9 and struggled to score. Illinois hasn't given up over 60 points at home since January so expect the grind to continue.

What exactly have the Huskers been working on during the last week? This might be a lost season in some regards but there is still an outside shot at the NIT and the upcoming B1G tournament looming in the near future. Can we field a team of players motivated to play the type of defense needed to win this or any other future games? Are we going to end the season on a nine game skid? At this point in the season you're trying to find positives. Who is going to provide them?

    Prediction: Illinois 71 - Nebraska 55
