Jack as a starter, NOT Tai

I don't necessarily think Tai needs to be benched...but you simply can't play him and Parker together, especially for long periods of time.

Start Watson, take your lumps with him learning.   Heck....you take lumps with Parker and he's a senior.  Having another scorer in the backcourt only makes Tai better and less of a need for him to score.

Get Parker back to the role he thrives in....spark plug defensive guy off the bench

And ace 3-point shooter, based on early returns. ;)

A year at the training table and the weight room will be the best things for Jack's game. His upside is HUGE….

Miles presser today included some comments about this.  They've been working on Jack's running technique.  With weight training, he says they can improve his agility and speed and quicks.  Watch the vid that Dimes posted.  He's really high on Jack, BTW.

My understanding from those inside the program, is that teammates love Tai.  I can see why.  He is unselfish; he hustles his butt off; he does the dirty work; he defends; he rebounds well for a guard; he is the first to a teammate to give him a hand or high five; and so on.  His issues are certainly warts, unprovoked turnovers and a wayward outside shot.  Yet in practices he is not making those turnovers and he does make his shots.  Hmmm.  To me the glass is more than half full.  I am still a believer.  I believe his shot will get better and so too, will his judgment.

Ummmm.  Hmmm.

This sure came out of nowhere!  I know I've been hard on him; glad to have him show up the ones who have been down on him, even if it is just for the weekend.  I would prefer that this was his breakout party.

I really hope Tai keeps it up.  If he can be a reliable 3rd cog this season we can surprise a lot of people this year.

Well.  Time to review this thought - does anyone want to bench Tai now? ;)

Get back to me in the middle of Big Ten play with this question.  As of right now, no I don't want Miles to bench him.  Tai has finally showed signs of life...if he can keep that play up we will be a very tough team.  If his play in the Big Ten lean mow towards the previous two years then yes, I think he finds more of the bench.  Hopefully he has turned the corner with a much needed confidence boost.

We have a deep enough team where we can play Tai 30 minutes or 10 minutes, depending on which Tai Webster shows up. Here is to seeing more of 30 minute Tai Webster.

This is beginning to sound like a DirecTV commercial.

"Hi, I'm Tai Webster, and I have DirecTV"

"I'm '10 Minute' Tai Webster, and I have cable"

A comment that could/should apply to every player on our team ;)

I'm looking forward to Tai keeping this up if for no other reason than to put to bed forever the argument that a kid who didn't put up great numbers his freshman and sophomore years must therefore suck and will always be bad. Go Tai.
