The refs suck - NCAA tournament edition

I think that it is only called if you gain an unfair advantage going to the rim. The jump shooters have been realigning their feet the whole tournament. And not just with that little double jump that hasn't been called for the last couple of years.

As long as we as fans are told this I for one wouldn't go nuts when it is not called. JMHO'

What should have been a classic finish, was ruined by crappy officiating. First off, the ball was last touched by Duke before Winslow clearly hits the ball again. Winslow should have his fourth foul on a clear charge. How is that a block? The offensive player was out of control with the defensive guy in position. The shot clock violation on Wisconsin Frank was hacked five times with no foul called. It was impossible to play 5 on 8 the 2nd half of the game. Coach K needs to thank the zebras for this game.

You forgot to mention Winslow stepping out of bounds before a Okafor makes an easy basket down the stretch.

Games that are fixed by the refs are usually called fairly for large stretches of the game. The refs will maybe hammer a team for a five minute stretch and cause a big run, then when the game is out of hand they will even it out.  Or, like tonight, they will call it even until it gets to crunch time, then every close call goes one way.  If you haven't witnessed this you aren't watching closely enough.

When every time Duke wins there is questionable calls. Well, Duke fouled 7 times in the first half, and 6 in the 2nd half. Then, you can go to the monitor and all 3 announcers say the ball is off Duke, and you can't see it? How is that possible? The block call on the Winslow drive was a poor call. The time Winslow stepped out of bounds before passing the ball was poor.

It was a make up call. They didn't call the foul on the rebound. Winslow had the ball in both hands and was hammered across the arms, that's what made him lose the hall. Yes he did touch it last.

There are no make-up calls!

Only shitty refs who consistently miss proper calls, who are partnered with their cohorts that try to make up for many of their errors!

This, anyone that things there should be make up calls probably believes they're ties at first base that go to the runner.  The last 5 minutes of that game were horrible in terms of officiating.  However, until the conferences and the NCAA decide to discipline officials for crappy games or fans decide they want to see real basketball and not street ball it will never change.

Is there a technical reason that when a super slo-mo network replay shows something obvious that the referees "can't see well enough" such as the blown out of bounds call, the network broadcasters can't be consulted? Why replay something which doesn't show up well on the courtside monitor endlessly if a network feed could be blown up on the big screen for all to see.
