One game at a time baby, one game at a time.  In all seriousness, I believe we can go into any of our games with a good chance to win.  If that is true, then what the heck, let's go undefeated.  If we can win at MSU, like last year, we can win on the road anywhere.  Will we win every game...likely not, but I am sure not going to pick us to lose many IF any of our games.

Highly unlikely we go 3-0 in Hawaii, IMO.

I disagree.

With their recent turmoil, I think we beat Hawaii.  (They just fired their coach, IIRC.)

I think we have a decent chance to beat Wichita State.  I actually like our matchups in that game.

And that's the championship, really.  Far and away the two best teams in the event will meet up, if at all, in the 2nd round.  Would be a huge RPI boost and help our seeding down the road.  And I think we can get it done.

Nebrasketball early predictions

Huskers look like they'll be great this year, and coach is seeing them working harder than ever, no motivation needed. They're ranked, returning the leaders, and leaner and meaner (I'm looking at you, tai). Even so, I'll keep my predictions as nonbiased and reasonable as possible. I know I'll end up kicking myself for these later, but here goes:

Northern Kentucky: W

Central Arkansas: W

@ Rhode Island: W (though these guys have been scrappy at times in the past)

UNO W

Tennessee-Martin W

@ Florida state W (tight matchup, can really go either way, but I see us pulling this out. Can see this as being a defining lynchpin game for the season)

Creighton W (We'll take those basterds down. Blowout preferred)

Incarnate word W

Cincinnati W (Another good schedule by Tim last year. Great team, not sure who they'll suit up this year but it could be tough)

Diamond head classic

Hawaii W

Second round (Wichita state) L

Championship/consolation W

(If we can beat Wichita, we'll win the whole thing. I can see us getting out with 2 wins)

Big ten conference games:

Indiana W (possible L)

@iowa W (revenge)

Rutgers W

Illinois W

@wisconsin L

Minnesota W

Michigan state W They have a young team, though a win here would still be challenging

@ Michigan L

@Minnesota L

Northwestern W (Another improved team, but not the greatest)

@ penn state W

Wisconsin L (possible W)

@ Purdue W

@ Maryland W (tough win)

Iowa W (if we don't win the first time, we'll get them at home)

@ Ohio state L

@Illinois L (tough, uprising team. )

Maryland W

Total/conclusion: 23-7,( +/- 4) 12-6 conf

I could see them making it to the conference tourney semis and losing, but winning a game or two in the tourney. I have no reason to doubt that they could do more, however. They just need to fix a few things and iron out the positions. They year is looking brilliant for our nebrasketballers.
