Just a question

C.J. Barksdale - Virginia Tech

He was to be a senior at Va Tech, I believe. So the only way he would be eligible is if he had graduated and was coming here as a graduate transfer, correct?

Yeah, seems really doubtful he would be eligible this year...just a guy who would make sense given our current available scholarship and constant need for depth in the post.

I like Leslee but it's a lot safer to try and get him ready for the end of this season and have Barksdale here next year.

College transfer from a school in Texas.

Looks likely to be Stuart Lagerson -- 7'0" 225 (SR) -- from University of Texas-Arlington

looking at his stats he looks like he'd be a one year Serg on the books.

Well, it does appear that there may have been one other 'big' Texan that is on the SR transfer.... Sharife Sargeant -- 6'-8" 235 (SR) -- out of Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, TX.

I'd rather take one year Serg lol

Pretty sure NU's own Sergej Vucetic moved on for a reason... don't need to re-live that for another yr! :)

Just throwing this out for the sake of argument, but junior colleges are colleges too.  Although I suppose technically you don't "transfer" from a junior college, so much as graduate.

I went through this list:

http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/10702122/tracking-every-transfer-2014-offseason-college-basketball

and I didn't see too much options.  At least none to get that excited about.

Another thought is that it wouldn't necessarily be somebody that is a known transfer.  There's no "deadline" in announcing you are going to leave a school, right?  Shoot, you could browse the returning rosters for D1 schools in Texas and look for big men that are due to be seniors and go from there.  Any of them recruited by Kenya Hunter?  etc.

Yeah, I had the very same thought after dredging through the field of slim pickins a.k.a "SR 'Big' Transfer from Texas"!

Kourtney Roberson just graduated on August 16th.  He also appears to be friends with Mike Evans (who is close friend of Terran Petteway).  That A&M program is in some turmoil.

Wouldn't be surprised if it was him.

Makes as much sense as anything: the ME, KR & TP triangle.

KR averaged approx 10 ppg & 7 rpg... yeah, I'd take that! :D
