I see Kathleen Doyle has moved up to #22 in Blue Star Top 50 ratings for 2016. She continues to rise at the point guard on Blue Star anyway.

It's a ways off, but with Rachel T gone next year, and Natalie as a Jr,, we'll need Doyle to get up to speed quickly at the point. She'll have some nice competition from Mi'Cole Cayton for 2017, plus another guard that may on the roster then.

They look to be somewhat equal on paper. Cayton is a pretty quick guard. They both rate pretty close to #100 in Prospect Nation Ratings....(for what ever ratings are worth).

Kind of gathered that Connie is looking at the other 2016 guard recruits as shooting guards/possibly the 4 in a couple of cases.

But the starter for this year, then 2016, and 2017, and beyond may change a lot each year, for the next three years or so.

The rankings depend greatly on what circuit you play on.  Prospects Nation does not follow the Blue Star travel circuit at all.  The kid from Wisconsin that recently verballed also plays on a Blue Star Travel team as well.  As long as health stays good, I see no reason why Doyle won't be able to bring something to the table as a freshman.  I have seen her play and she is very good.

Recent article (12-22-15) on Nebraska signee  Mi'Cole Cayton, St. Mary's (Stockton, California)

Her St Mary's team won tourney.

"You didn't think St. Mary's (Stockton, California) was going to march through the Nike Tournament of Champions in Arizona without feeling a little heat, did you? The No. 1 team in the nation caught fire when Riverdale Baptist (Upper Marlboro, Maryland) got close in the final, and went on to claim the most prestigious national title of the season."

She is on the all-tournament team for the Joe Smith Division:

Oh!  As a side note McCole was playing sick in that last game at Nike. She ended up throwing up on the court. She always seems to show up in big games- example the California Open Championships last season. She is really feisty and plays with a lot of heart. Her numbers are not that impressive because the team she plays for is a loaded team and they emphasis team play. Players from St Marys really make easy transitions to college ball because they are used to sharing the ball with their team mates. That sometimes is a problem for ball dominate players in high school who are used to being the go to guys on that lower level. In college the competition is tougher and they have to adjust their games and attitudes.
