FSU is bringing back 4 starters from last year.

We'll be up against MNF (thanks uneblinstu!) so we're probably looking at ESPN2 as opposed to ESPNU.

Should be a great matchup....I believe this is our first official non-conference true road game.

what this means, is if petteway comes back for his senior year we've got a really good shot at a big time matchup in lincoln

it's a decent road game against a decent team.  yeah i'd love UNC or duke in lincoln... who wouldn't?  it's a solid matchup.

We will play Duke or NCS in the big dance before we play them in the Big 10 ACC Challange.

Not necessarily, they've paired the new kid on the block with a power school before. If NU does what people expect them to do next year, they'll be a top 10 team in 2015 which should draw one of the big boys.

People criticize Nebraska for having a fluffy soft conference schedule, but man, take a look at this.  They had single plays against UNC, Duke, Syracuse AND Pitt.  Add the two Virginia games and those are the only conference games they played against sub-#40 Kenpom teams.  They went 1-5 in those games.

Their non-con was not terribly strenuous either.

Common opponents include Michigan, Minnesota (twice), UMass, Miami (twice) and Florida Gulf Coast.

Here is the 2013-2014 Kenpom rundown for FSU:

these match ups are 1 year deals. We'd be playing @ Miami this season if they were home and homes.

Actually our Miami matchup was only a one and done because of the changes to the conferences. Our first two years in the B1G we had a home and home with Wake.
