Believe it or not, these Nebraska Cornhoopsters rank at or near the bottom of all D1 basketball teams in several major offensive categories.

 

Points per game:  58.8 = 331st out of 345 teams.

Field goal percent:  40.7% = 292nd

Assists per game:  9.8 = 330th

 

That's the bad news.

 

The good news is this:  If we increased our shooting percent just 4 points, we'd go from about 300th to about 100th place, a leap upward of nearly 200 spots.  And the other good news is that we have some guys coming in next season who have the ability to help us do just that.

 

The future's so bright, I gotta wear shades.
