Not great company to surround yourself around...

No and it just goes to show how little basketball history we have.  Heck the fact that Akron has more wins than Nebraska tells you how little we have had to cheer about.  I cringed when someone compared the program to the Cubs, but dang it may have been spot on.

Actually, what all this shows is that bracketology is a bunch of crap.

All this quadrant stuff and “quality” wins and early season wins overcoming late season collapses, and “great” conferences, and etc., are all now proven to be garbage.  Those are mere excuses for people-in-power favoring some (their own) teams over others.

When games are actually played in neutral sites, all those things go in the trash can.

Had Nebraska Weslyan not won their Conference tourney, they would NOT have received an at-large bid to the DIII Tournament, and look how it turned out for them. Basketball being the wonderful crazy game that it is, is usually a sport that's won between the ears more often than not. You can't "measure" or "qualify" what you saw over the weekend, just appreciate it and be thankful Nebraska will be at LEAST 10th in the B1G pre-season poll.

D'oh, great catch. I was looking at results through the 2016-2017 season. And another one experiences sweet victory before us... the play-in games are really dumb with how they mess up these kinds of stats, though.

And yet at this point, we'd all be giddy if that is our first win in the tournament.
