Palmer becomes the first POTW since Tai Webster, averaging 21.5 points, 4 rebounds, and 1.5 steals per game in wins over Illinois and Michigan including the game winner vs Illinois. He shared the honor with Purdue's Carsen Edwards.

The numbers back it up: he was the analyical MVP from either team in both games played according to KenPom.com

He's been locked in ever since he got benched against PSU.  To me, that is an indicator of a kid with a good head on his shoulders.

And a good move by Miles.  If we lose a road game at PSU to get a really good JPJ that leads us to wins over Michigan and a possible 8-1 or 7-2 finish than job well done.

Perhaps Miles should at least take a longer look at Thomas Allen over Glynn Watson in certain circumstances. I know GW does a lot of playmaking, but his shooting & D have been considerably subpar at the moment....

Palmer gets better as the game wears on.  That's the sign of a true competitor and leader.

We have several guys on the roster that need to watch Palmer's demeanor on offense.  He has already decided before the game starts that he's going to dominate the guy guarding him.  Several of our players--Watson, Roby, Copeland, and even Jordy--can dominate if they just decide to play with a chip on their shoulder.  Palmer plays angry.  I love it.
