This may be the article Steve refers to above.  An excellent read by Sam McKewon.   Discusses the disappointing loss to AZ State, areas for improvement; incoming class, and outlook for next year.

McKewon: Amy Williams making sure Husker women embrace expectations after surprise season

Quote

Williams considered NU’s selflessness and balance the team’s biggest strength, and when her culture took hold, she saw players enjoying the game again. She saw them having fun.

Now, the expectations have been raised. Williams embraces that, and she should. Only three players graduate, and a nationally ranked recruiting class of four players joins the program. Williams said she sees no player departures right now.

Next year’s roster, thus, can be as strong as Nebraska’s first team in the Big Ten. That 2011-12 bunch finished 24-9 and earned a No. 6 seed in the NCAA tournament. Lindsey Moore was a junior. Jordan Hooper was a sophomore. And NU had a four-freshman class, headlined by Emily Cady, which eventually made four straight NCAA tournaments.

First things first: Nebraska has to improve its rebounding.

I would add free throw shooting in along with rebounding.

So if you watch the video of TBL, Sam says that a couple of seniors last year did not like Yori. so that pretty much say it was Esther Ramacieri And Allie Havers along with you know who. caused all of the fuss.

Allie surprise me some, but nothing really SURPRISES me anymore.

i am sure those of you that watched the TBL video heard SM mention that the huskers are bringing in two "special" players. i will guess one is haiby. that probably leaves brown or verbeek(?)-----think i will go with brown as the other one he may have been talking about. no idea, but, thinking mershon may fall in the category of being a "work-in-progress".

Thanks for mentioning the TBL Video embeded in the news article, Bugs!    I had passed over it;  it is a real good listen.  Located out-of-State, I'm getting a new appreciation for Sam McKewon.

Somehow since it is verbal conversation, he may have been using the term 'couple' more as a figure of speech, rather than specifically meaning two.  He also could have been using 'Seniors' loosely, meaning non-returning players.

Reading the article, I think one of the special incoming players would be Ashtyn Veerbeek.  She is the highest ranked player of the incoming class, and I think I read somewhere that Iowa was recruiting her hard and really wanted her.  Again he might have been using 'couple' as a figure of speech and there might be more than two he was referring to.

In any event, I liked his analysis of the team and think prospects look good for the future.
