Something tells me that he may care no more than Bo did what the listed salary is.

The school can use the "sale price" salary remainder for something they would not get otherwise.

I would guess Nebraska's lawyers have something in the buyout which forbids schools from giving Riley a "discounted" price.  Probably something to the effect that his salary for his new job has to be fair market value.  I'm guessing an associate head coach makes roughly $750,000/year. 

 

Bo would have a lower salary at his new school, even as Head Coach.
