Yes, it occurs but not as much as in the NBA. Three years ago Minnesota's Amanda Zahui B left after her junior season and the following year Michigan State's Aerial Powers declared early for the draft. Others have declared early from other conferences but those are two recent examples of players from the B1G. If I remember correctly Britany Griner was one of the first underclassmen to declare early.
