So Maryland's coach bolts for Va Tech and today it has surfaced that Bakich from Michigan is interviewing at South Carolina. Usually baseball offseason is not eventful other than the draft, but those are 2 of the top 5 coaches in the league. Next couple years could be ripe for Nebraska to establish itself as the big dog.

Do you suppose that Szefc wanted to get back into the ACC with that move?

Must be. Not sure how salary shook out on it. But as we know, Maryland has been twice the program va tech has.

And don't underestimate the problem with the Big 10 scholarship rules.   A decided disadvantage against the other conferences.  Big 10 needs to wake up if it wants to become more competitive in baseball.  Facilities and money thrown at the programs has improved substantially since we joined the league.  Now we need to eliminate our scholarship rule disadvantage.

I am out of the loop on this one.  Can I get some more info?

California State Fullerton, Florida State, Louisiana State, and Texas Christian all punched their tickets to Omaha on Sunday.

We're now awaiting Wake Forest/Florida (Game 2 was suspended due to weather; Game 2 and 3 (if necessary) will be played today).

That's a big boy field right there. Can't wait for CWS. Greatest two weeks in Omaha (especially when LSU makes it, and tailgating is turned up a notch)
