I think he thinks Watson and Roby can be pretty special as well, hopefully he is right about their potential, could be fun to watch

My guess is Glynn, Jordy, and Copeland for sure. I would assume Zay is also in the conversation but could also see it being Allen or Palmer or maybe even Jack in that top 4 discussion

Had to laugh at this review:

He’ll also have to replace three key figures from a season ago, after the graduation of Tai Webster, Ed Morrow and Jeriah Horne.

Jeriah Horne is currently working toward a PhD at Tulsa.

http://three-man-weave.com/3mw/2017/9/14/big-ten-preview-2017-18 Found this over on Reddit from Three Man Weave. Has us projected to finish 13th in the conference and says there is too much uncertainty to see us anywhere above 12th. Also says that "Nebraska is one of those teams that is sure to notch a few big time wins this season while also losing many head scratchers (much like last year’s squad)."

Have they copy and pasted this in their synopsis for the last 10+ years?

Of course these two jumped out at me:

Justin Simon, St. John’s: A former top-25 recruit, the 6-4 Simon has the type of basketball body that Norman Rockwell would have painted. A freak athlete who never found a regular spot in Arizona’s rotation two years ago, this California native will be a key piece for the Red Storm on defense thanks to his size, strength, and athleticism. With Simon in tow, look for Chris Mullin to regularly use him in a three-guard alongside Marcus Lovett and Shamorie Ponds.

Marvin Clark, St. John’s: Tougher than a two-dollar steak, this former Michigan State forward comes to New York City with the responsibility of leading St. John’s back to the top tier of the Big East. Armed with the strength to guard the low post on defense and extend the floor on offense, Clark brings major experience to the Red Storm after being a key contributor when Michigan State advanced to the Final Four in 2015.

And Lovett and Ponds are very good. This will be a tough game to pull out a W on the road.

The name Marvin Clark rang a bell... I remember a big story on BTN's "The Journey" about him at MSU as well as a piece in a major newspaper about his life & recruitment process.

Well, yeah, they return a fat lot of good players.  Three guys who scored in double figures last year are back, including Ponds at 17 1/2 ppg, Lovett at 16 and Bashir Ahmed at 13 1/2.

Where do transfers Marvin Clark and Justin Simon fit it?  If that's their starting lineup, then they go 6-0, 6-1, 6-5, 6-7 and 6-7.  The heaviest guy in that lineup would be Clark at 230#.  Second heaviest would be Simon at 215#.  Not a very big lineup.

(Compare that to us at 6-11 270#, 6-9 220#, 6-8 230#, 6-6 210# and 6-0 175#.)

They have a 6-11 kid, Tariq Owens, who's built like a Collins glass and, if he's not a starter, probably won't put up any better numbers in no more minutes than he got last year.

I suspect they'll be really talented at every spot; they'll go 8 or 9 deep; and they'll have plenty of scoring firepower.  But it's going to be basically 40 minutes of small ball.  Dangerous opponent if they're hitting their 3s.
