AW-III IS BACK FOR HIS SENIOR SEASON (SOMEWHERE)

No one is saying that Tim Miles can do no wrong.  But let's let the chips fall before we start jumping to the next step.

I'll-believe-it-when-I-see-it-guy-because-I-haven't-seen-it-yet-so-I-don't-know-for-sure-it-can-happen guy gives this a +1

That was hard to read Dimes

I wouldn't take it personally to be negative repped for using over 20 hypens in a post.

That was a grand total of 22 hyphens, for the record. ;)

This is not a re-tweet so don't take this as an endorsement that AW-III is coming back. Also, since he is not deciding/announcing yet, don't take the lack of retweet as an indication he's not coming back.

Should have just gone without the disclaimer to see how many more pages we could generate.

Nigel Hayes for Wisconsin and Melo Trimble for Maryland are currently at the combine.

Speaking of those two guys...

Is AWIII better than those two?

As an NBA prospect? Probably not.

I'd take the statements on Trimble and Hayes to mean that they're probably second round picks this year with the potential to play their way into the first round this season.

Takin' the 'ol McDermott route, eh???

Good for them, that always pays off...

In White's situation I can certainly see the advantage in working for as many teams as possible to get your name out there even if he does not go to the NBA this year.  One thing I really hope he considers is that this may be his last chance to be the go to guy on a basketball team in which a great deal of the action will center around him and he will play major minutes.  They said in the article that he is marketing himself as a shooter off the bench type which he probably will be if he makes the league.  The thing about that is it is a game by game situation in which he may not play very much at all at times.  Granted the paycheck would be there, which is huge, but a number of athletes would love to be in his shoes as a Senior for Nebraska this year.  Plus he can start his graduate work which will give him a leg up if he does not make in professional ball.  Of course he seems like a smart cookie and I'm sure he has thought about all his options.

Here are some blurbs from the Lee Barfknecht article linked above:

Nebraska coach Tim Miles and his staff are doing all they can do to help the White family gather accurate information to assess Andrew’s future. New Husker assistant Michael Lewis, who is close friends with Boston coach Brad Stevens through their time together at Butler, is helping arrange the Celtics visit.

“From watching some of the NBA combine stuff, a shooting specialist is so rare,’’ he [White] said. “With my potential, my IQ and my ability to do that, I think that’s what gives me a shot more so than other underrated guys who are solid all-around players."

“With these workouts coming up, I’m confident I can get in front of these people and make them fall in love with me and give me a job.’’

I hope he makes it!
